W.D.F.U. MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Town Board room on Friday, March 4, Mrs. Macfarlane presiding. Also present wore: Mesdames F. R. Palmer, McGregor, Boyer, Aiken, Brewer, Metcalfe, W. Johnston, Misses Symes, Kennedy, Elmslic, and the hon.
secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting Were read and confirmed.
Apologies for non-attendance were received from Mesdames Mitealfe, Matthews', Dickie', Blaekiston, Parsons, Ncwland, Simson, and Andrew Elmslic. Mesdames Brewer and Aiken were appointed delegates to attend the meeting of the Provincial Council at Wanganui on Wednesday, March 9, The secretary reported that two housekeepers were engaged in the district.
It was decided to send £5 to the Community Chest.
It was also decided that the annual meeting and social afternoon be held on April 8.
The meeting then rose
