BOY SCOUTS
MEETING OP COMMITTEE, A meeting of the committee of the local troop of 15oy Scouts' Commit let was held on Monday, liis Worship the Mayor presiding'.. Jfev. 0. Gibson and Messrs. Pauling (Assist a n t-Scout ma ster), Clark (Scoutmaster), Hemingway, Wainwright. and Haddow -were also present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and continued. His Worship reported that arrangements had been made tor the re-erec-tion of a sign at the corner of Pigment and Bedford Streets. The Scoutmaster reported that the usual parades had been duly held and a church parade on Armistice Day. A request had been received Iron the local Plunket Society for the assistance of six Scouts at the proposed carnival. It was unanimously agreed on the motion of His "Worship, that the report be adopted, and that the matter of Scouts assisting the Plunket Society be left in the hands of the Scoutmaster and Assistant-Scoutmaster with power to act. It tvas also resolved that Mr. Haddow be appointed a member of the committee. It was. decided that the matter of cards for Scouts showing contributions, etc,, bo left in the hands of the Scoutmaster jam! Mr. Hemingway, with power to act. It was resolved on the motion ot the Mayor, Unit IHo letter rc Y.M.O.A. camp received through Mr. Pauling, be acknowledged, and the matter made sis public as possible through the ‘Press.'
