EFFECT OF FEW DOMINION DUTIES. The effect on the cost of bread, bacon and oijgs, of Iho nou r duties ou ■wheat, flour, and maize, is the subject of an interesting analysis by the Ministcr of Customs, the Hon. W. Do wine Stewart, in a reply to •correspondence from, the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. The Minister says that no alteration has been made in the duty on wheat offal, and no fowl wheat, has been admitted free to the Dominion since March, 1927. Ground and crushed maize are now ’exempt from duty.
