PAINTING UP TO DATE. AN ENTERPRISING FIRM. The enterprising iirm of Messrs. McCarty'and Hunger, who’%ere the first to install an acetoning plant In the district between Hawera and Wanganui, a mowing machine sharpening plant, and other labour-saving devices, have shown still further enterprise by installing- the latest and most up to late Do Vilbiss paint spraying equipment. This outfit not only produces the well-known Duco finish on cars, but can be used to paint anything from houses to coffins and wheelbarrows. The plant has been installed by the Australasian agents, the Excelsior Supply Co., of Wellington, under the supervision of Mr. C. P. Catteil. The plant is operated by compressed air, . which passes through a transformer. Prom here it is driven through a 50ft hose to the container, on which is mounted the celebrated type A spray gun. The operator is able to carry the container with the Duco paint about with him and spray the object desired to be painted. This plant will be a groat boon to the motorists of our prosperous district who wish to renovate their cars, as instead of tlic long, wait under the old method, cars can now be completely finished in four to five days, a fact which no doubt will appeal to the busy man. The linn arc to be congratulate* upon their enterprise, which servos once again to illustrate our contention that there Is ho need to go outside the town for carpainting work of the very highest and best description; The firm will be glad to show the plant to car owners and demonstrate its capabilities.
