HIGH PRICES FOR SHEEP
RAM BOUGHT FOE GOO GUINEAS. Mr. E. E. Short, a Fcildiug Eomney Marsh breeder, received 600 guineas for a stud Eomney ram of his stud, the purchaser being Mr. Carr, of Chatsbury, New South Wales. This purchaser had previously made the purchase of Mr. Short’s slock at the last Royal Show in Sj’dney. -He won all the Eomney prizes with Mr. Short’s stock. The annual Pararangi sale of stud flock Romneys is not> quite up to last year. The highest price paid was .170 guineas by O’Neill and Sons, Wanganui. Henson Bros., Fcildiug, paid 130 guineas ou behalf of the Parorangi Estate (E. Short). Thirty-tAvo studs averaged £4O and 55 flock rams averaged £ll (is Id, On behalf of N. .7. Short four studs averaged £2O 4s '’Oil and 77 docks averaged £7 4s 4d. The highest price paid for flock rams was 10 guineas.
