The annual concert and prize-giving in connection with the Kakaramca school will be held in the Kakaramca Hull to-night. Come and enjoy yourself with the children, who have prepared a line programme of songs, recitations, dialogues, etc., for your amusement.
A subscription list for the purpose of assisting to establish a Trust Fund for the relief of the dependants of those lost in the recent disaster at the Dobson coalmine has been opened at the Dacca County Office, where donations will be received on behalf of the trustees of the fund.
Gibsons, Ltd., have some very interesting advertisements in the Wanted Known columns, which shor! ' Ij read by all readers who are seeking suggestions for Xmas presents. The prices quoted are very reasonable, and the variety in goods a largo one.
A collision took place in Egmont St. on Wednesday, a car coming at a fair pace around the Lincoln Street corner crashing into Mr. J. Fraser's ear, which was proceeding slowly towards Bedford Street. Both cars were slightly damaged, but fortunately no one was injured.
Tenuis members should be at the courts to-morrow at 1.45 to ensure inclusion in the combined handicap tournament, which will commence at 2 p.m. sharp. A senior and junior division will be formed, pairs drawn, and each pair will play every other pair in that division.
