ST. STEPHEN'S VESTRY
At a meeting of St. Stephen's Vestry on Wednesday evening last, it was decided to call tenders for the repair and painting of the church buildings.
The lawns have been dug up, in preparation for re-sowing. Through lack of funds in recent year's,' the Church buildings and grounds have been allowed to get into a shabby condition. However, it has now been decided ‘to have things put in order. The new vicar, Rev. W. Kelly, is a “live wire.” Both the interest in church affairs and the attendance at the services have increased considerably .in consequence. It is proposed to hold a “working bee” in the-near future, and to rake and sow down the lawns. All those interested arc invited to get into touch with Mr Adlam as soon as possible.
