TYPHOID IN AUCKLAND.
A SERIOUS EPIDEMIC. ,'. f ! . — wmmm Auckland, April 21. There are 58 cases of typhoid at the Hospital including 50. from the Mount Albert district. The death occurred of a patient admitted from Morningside in a low condition. Dr Valentino and the local health authorities visted Mount Albert district and came to the conclusion that the outbreak would . bo practically confined there. It is now well in hand with the precautions taken to ensurca pure water supply. MENTAL HOSPITAL AFFECTED. Sixty cases of, typhoid have occurred at the Avondale Mental Hospital and there has been one death. No notification has boon made as the asylum is not under the control of the health office. Nino fresh cases wore reported in Mount Albert on Friday.
