They had struck oil and a million dollars and they had planned a triun\phant entry into society with, a real live archduke as a guest of honour. Mother had announced herself as the proud ■mamma of a prospective Areh-dutchcss, and then, in front of all the social elect, the Archduke was exposed as a waiter!
