According to a Gazette issued on Thursday evening, Major Thomas Farr, R.N.Z.A., D.S.O. and M.C., relinquishes the temporary rank of Major and is granted the temporary rank of Caiptain until further notice.
Amongst the Birthday honours appearing in the London Times of Juno 3rd is the name of Lieutenant-Colonel J. G. Kirkwood, D. 5.0., this officer having the honour of C.M.G. conferred. Colonel Kirkwood is a younger brother of Mr. W. P, Kirkwood, of Stratford, chairman of the Taranaki Provincial War Relief Association.
