OVER 6000 ON ’THE WATER

The Defence authorities have received advice of seven transports which, arc conveying troops to New Zealand. So far as is known, there are 6150 officers and men on the water in the following steamers : Ulimaroa, from Egypt 1095 Mamari, from England 1056 Somerset, from England 968 Port Hacking, from England .. 834 Athenic, from England 438 Cordoba, from England 654 Ellcnga, from Egypt 1105 Total 6150
