The Waitotara Football Club arc holding n dance in the Hall, Waitotara on Wednesday, August (sth next, when there should be a first-class attendance of supporters of the club in the district.
The many friends of Mr. A. V. Mcrriman will be glad to learn that ho has recovered sufficiently from his recent illness as to be able to be re moved, homo.
Picture lovers should on no account miss the drama “Arms and the Girl” featuring the beautiful Billie Burke, which will be screened at the Hall tonight.

Messrs Palmer Bros the well Known storekeepers of Wavcrley have just accepted the tender of Mr. W. Wren of Wanganui for the erection of an up-to-date brick building in the main street. The building, which is to be completed in about four months’ time will be a very fine structure and will greatly improve the appearance of the town.
Messrs J. Muir and Sons have a replace advertisement" in this issue of more than ordinary interest to residents of Wavcrley and district. The firm arc quoting white shooting at prices unheard of at these times. Residents would therefore do well to pay the firm a visit before the bargains offering are snapped up.
Having acquired the Royal Pictures, Wavcrley, which will henceforth be known as “Everybody’s Pictures”, the management state they will bo showing every Wednesday and Saturday evening, and have pleasure in intimating that have also acquired the solo rights to the famous Paramount productions which include all Famous Players, Lasky Features, Artcraft, and J. Stuart Blackton Super Features, Paramount Arbuckle and Paramount Mack Scnnett Comedies, Burton Holmes’ Travelogs, American and Australian Gazettes, and the famous Bray Pictographs. These represent the world’s best in motion pictures—a variety to suit every taste and need. The Paramount stars have amongst them some of the greatest and most revered names ; such as Mary Pickford, Blanche Sweet, Pauline Frederick, Marguerite Clark, Marie Doro, Geraldine Farrar, Billie Burke, Mary Fuller, Elsie Ferguson and Enid Bennett. The above facts must strike all as being consistent with the claims that the management offer the best pictures, featuring the best artists that the best people appreciate. To-night will be shown the great drama “Arms and the Girl”, featuring the famous Billie Burke.
