WELCOME HOME
LOCAL MEN RETURN
There was a largo crowd at the station on Friday to welcome home the local men who returned by the troopship Briton. Among those to return wore (J.M.S. A. Carey, Corp N. Tinncy and lifhn J. Dempsey and D. J. McLean, who received a very hearty welcome from His Worship the Mayor (Mr. A. T. Christonscn), Messrs C. A. l/u'eombo (Chairman of the Patriotic League), Slrouts, Hemingway (members of the League), and a number of relations and friends.
All the men were in the pink of condition and looked splendidly fit in spite of the arduous times passed through. After receiving the greetings of their friends the men were kindly motored to their homes by Messrs Cronin & Co. and L. T. Adams.
