MacDonnld) announced recently that it was the intention of the Department to appoint two experts with scientific attainments, to give instruction in agricultural practice. The positions have now been tilled by the appointment of Mr. R. P. Council. M.A., and Mr. T. P. Patterson. It is probable that one officer will be stationed in the North Island and one in the South Island.
