THE PATEA BOROUGH £SOOO LOAN. 1913. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the underwritten Resolutions by way of special order were passed at a special meeting of the Patea Borough Council held on the 29tb day of June, 1914, and that the confirmation of the said Resolutions will be considered at the ordinary meeting of the said Council to be held at the Borough Chambers at 7.30 p.m on MONDAY the TEIRD day of AUGUST, 1914, being the time fined by the Council in that behalf, 1 Dated this 30th day of June, 1914, E. W. HAMERTON, Town Clerk. RESOLUTIONS BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER ABOVE REFERRED TO. 1. That in exercise of the powers in such case them enabling and by virtue of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908," and the several Acts amending the same and of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908," and its amendments a special loan of five thousand pounds (£SOOOI be now raised by the Patea Borough Council for the purpose of paying off and redeeming an existing special loan of five thousand pounds (£5000) hereto** fore raised from the Commissioners of the Public Debts Sinking Funds in New Zealand. 2. That the currency of the said loan be for a period of forty years commencing on the first day of September 1913, and maturing on the first day of September, 1953. 3, That the interest on the said loan be at the rate of four and one half per centum per annum and be payable half-yearly on the first day of the months of March and September in each and every year during the currency of the loan. 4, That the security for the payment of the principal and interest moneys of the said loan consist of five (5) debentures for one thousand pounds (£1000) each and (if re* quired) relative coupons for each in conformity with <( The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908 " and its amendments." 5. That the Patea Borough Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest and sinking fund and other charges thereon the special rate of eightpence(Bd) in the £ upon the annual rateable value of all rateable property appearing in the Valuation Roll f>r the time being in force in the Patea Borough on the basis of the annud capital value thereof which special rate was made by resolution of this Council passed on the 15th day of June, 1914. 6. That the principal and interest moneys of the loan shall bo payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. PATEA CEMETERY BOARD TENDERS FOR LEASE. TENDERS are invited for the lease for a period of one year of 17 acres more or less of the property known as the Cemetery Reserve, Half year’s rent must accompany each tender.
