A NQ'CONFIDENOE MOTION. EXCITEMENT IN THE HOUSE. The Debate Ad| earned; LBy Teleqeaph—Special to PuEss.j Wellington, This Day, Sir Joseph Ward sprang .a surprise on the House last night by moving as an amendment to the Address>in»Sepiy that: “ The House has no confidence in the Government because its present policy is not in the interests of the community.” The motion created great excitement in the House, the debate being continued with vigour throughout the evening, the proceedings being enlivened by several spirited passages at arms between the Leader of the Opposition and the Hon. James Allen. The House finally adjourned at 11.46 p.m, on the motion of Mr T. M. Wilford, The debate is expected to last out the week.
