Ho said ho had filed an affidavit, and proposed to read, if, hut the Judge forbade him, and warned him not to make any remarks reflecting on a Judge of the Court. Carson, however, read the affidavit through, punctuated by commands from tho Judge to stop, of Avhich ho took no notice. The affidavit turned out to bo a violent attack on Judge Edwards himself. At tho end the Judge ordered Carson to appear on Friday morning to shotv •cause why ho should nut ho committed for contempt of Court.
