WRECK OF THE TRITON.

Madrid, Oct. 18. Nows has been received that the Spanish bstearner Triton, bound from Havana to Bahia, Honda and Cuba, has been wrecked off the northern coast of Cuba. For some reason her engines stopped, and a strong current drove the vessel ashore. The shock awoke the passengers, who rushed the boats, which were crushed to pieces against the steamers’ side. Many of those on hoard plunged into the sea when they saw the boats disabled. Later information shows that 42 passengers and crew were rescued from the wreck of the steamer Trinton. The captain committed suicide when he found the vessel Avas sinking.
