WEDDING AT INGLEWOOD.
A large number of people assembled at | St. Andrew’s Church. Inglewood, on Wednesday afternoon to witness the mar' 1 riage of Mr J. E. Wilson, of New Plymouth, to Miss Emily Hamerton, fifth daughter of Mr Lewis Hamerton, of Burnlea, Inglewood. It is to be hoped the old saying, “ Happy the bride the sun shines on” may be verified in this case, for the elements were in a very kind mood. The Yen Archdeacon Govet came out especially from New Plymouth to tie the nuptial knot, and there were also several other guests from the same place. The bride looked very bonnie in a mixture of ivory cashmere and silk, with large sprays of orange blossoms, a long tulle veil softening the whole. She carried a large bouquet of clematis and azaleas. The two bridesmaids the Misses Constance and Frances Hamerton wore pretty frocks of white crepon and lace, white tulle hats, with white ribbon and cluster of forget me-nots, and also gold brooches, presents from the bridegroom. Mr W. Hamerton carried out the onerous duties ©f best man. There were many guests, who were afterwards entertained at Burnlea, the residence of the bride’s parents. The young couple have received many presents, some of them exceedingly handsome. —Taranaki News
