A MAN FATALLY STADDED.
TRAGIC OCCURRENCE ON A SYDNEY STEAMER. c ydney, Sept. 25.
A youth named Thomas AcLem, an assistant steward on the steamer Australasian, went on board early this morning, quarrelled wi x a steward named Goulson, and stabbed him in tho breast, Coulson dying in a few minutes.
When arrested, McLean s'ated that he was drunk, and that Ooulson palled him out of his bunk and nearly smothered him. He then used the knife in so'f-defcnca, not intending to kill the man.
