CITY OF MELBOURNE BANK,
Melbourne, August 7. The City of Melbourne Bank has closed its doors. The petitions lodged in Court will be heard next week. No notice of suspension was posted at the Bank. The court has appointed Mr McCrindle provisional liquidator', The Directors were taken somewhat by surpriss by the action of the British depositors, who they thought woijld have accepted an amende" 1 scheme.
