HOME AND FOREIGN. THE MISSING SHIP STONELEIGH. London, July 12. The ship Dunsyre from Sydney, reports that after leaving the Australian coasts she fell in with very severe weather. The ship Stoneleigh passed the Dunsyre, but later on the latter passed a quantity of wreckage, which possibly may have belonged to the Stoneleigh. The Stoneleigh is overdue, and reinsurances can only be effected at a premium of 70 guineas per cent. THE REPUBLIC PROGRAMME IN AMERICAN. Washington, July 12. Mr Cbauncey Depew declaims that the Republicans wijl at the next election offer to revise the tariff on the lines of ex President Harrison’s scheme, thus rejecting the McKinley tariff, while securing increased protection and restoring the duties on wool. THE MACEDONIAN QUESTION. SoiTN, July 12. M, Stoiloff. Premier, in a circular letter, advises the prefects of departments to prevent sympathy being expressed with Macedonia which is injuring neighbouring States. STILL ANOTHER CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE CZAR. St. Petersburg, July 12. A workmen’s conspiracy against the Czar has been discovered in the city, and many persons suspected of complicity have been taken into custody. SERIOUS CONFLICT IN GREECE. Athens, July 12. In a conflict between Albanian gendarmes and peasants of Crete, the latter killed an officer and imprisoned a number of men. Troops were sent to secure the release of the prisoners, and in the engagement which ensued 20 were killed on each side. RAILWAY DISASTER IN THE ARGENTINE. Buenos Ayres, July 12. By a railway accident in the Argentine, 15 people were killed and 30 injured.
