From W, B. Scott, Esq., Builder, &c Peterborough St Christchurch, Dec 4 Some years ago I was recommended to try a bottle of your “ Pulmonic Elixir and Lung Preserver,” for tightness of the chost. I did so, and from that time I have nevei been without it in the house. I have found it answer in every respect for coughs, colds, and sore throat and would strongly advise those that are suffering from such complaints to try it. The Rev J. Meyers (ex President of the United Methodist Free Church) writes —Hanover St, Leeds, March 25th, 1872 —I have pleasure in testi fying bow rapidly and effectually Baxter’s Lung Preserver has acted in allaying cough and irritation of the chest in the case of my wife, who has several times been under the necessity of using it during the winter. From Dr J. Ewart, M.R.C.8.1. &c, —I am very much opposed to patent medicines generally, and totally dis countenance the Balsams, Oxymels, Elixirs, Sy.ups, and other emanations of unprincipled empirics, but your Lung Preserver is a really good preparation, I entirely free from those qualities which render most patent medicines dangerous and possessed of those tonic and stimu lating properties which render it u treasme to those who suffer from the exhausting effects of pulmonary disease and chest affections generally. In cases of asthma it quickly cuts short the naroxysm. In chronic bronchitis or [ winter coughs it is useful, the discharge of mucus is greaMy assisted, and the wheezing aim difficulty of breathing are greatly relieved by it, In acute bronchi tis it is also beneficial, and whiLt it lends to check inflammation, it promotes expectoration and inus relieves the laborious and difficult breathing so general in these attacks. As a cough medicine, for persons of all ages, it is excellent, —J. Ewart, M.R.C.S. From Rev W. B. Marten, Wesleyan Minister—Christchurch, 2nd August, 1872 —Having suffered considerable an noyance during the past two years from hoarseness and affection of the throat, which at times rendered public speaking somewhat difficult and painful, I have since my arrival in this circuit—in April last—been induced to try your Baxter’s Lung Pieserver, and I deem it only just to inform you that 1 have experienced great benefit from its use, being enabled to preach now wiili a degree of ease and comfort to which I had been some time a stranger.
