XAinniv, January 21. A man named Jolm Smith was charged with, attempted criminal assau t on a woman of sixty, and lias been remanded. At the adjourned meeting of Kinross and Co.’s creditors to day, the If on. E. \V. Parke]', manager for Dalgetty and Co,, and Mr J. V. Vigor wore appointed supervisors, Kinross, in his statement, attributed their bankruptcy to diJhculties caused by the sudden calling in of large sums of in consequence of the Glasgow Dunk failure ton years ago, and to the .subsequent bad seasons and losses on runs in Poverty Bay, which they had to take over.
