AUCKLAND— Friday. Mr Buckland reports : | Horse Stock, &c.,—At the Hay mark- ; on Friday (Feb. 18) horse stock were '■ usual supply; draught horses ranged fro;.. £9 to £25 each. Wool, Hides, Skins, &c.—At the Haymaiket on Tuesday (Fob. 16) hides were in request up to 3fd ; calfskins, 4jd per lb ; pelts and skins 6o to Is 6d each ; fat and tallow, from 7s to 12s 6d per cwt ; several boles of wool sold at prices ranging from to s£d per lb. Cattle, Sheep, &c. —Mr Buckland reports llial the recent rains have occasioned more animation hi the cattle market. At Ream era yards on Thursday (Feb 18) 50 trucks of fat stock were received from Waikato, being the largest number received at any time for one day. The market was in consequence crowded, and prices lower, particularly for sheep, although several lots were withdrawn. Prices for cattle ranged from 16s to 20s per 1001 bs. Sheep, to 2d the lb; lambs of good quality, 7s to 8s each. Calves numerous and lower in price than for some time. Large pigs were at low values, but growing pigs were in belter enquiry.
