PATEA AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
The committee of this society held a meeting on Saturday for the purpose of considering the question of amalgamation, when, after some discussion, the following resolution was passed “That the Egmont Agricultural and Pastoral Society be written to on the subject of the amalgamation of (he two societies, for the purpose of holding alternate shows at Hawora and Patea under their auspices, and if the suggestion is approved of, that they be requested to appoint four delegates to meet the representatives of this society, with a view of fully discussing the matter, and joining in a report to be presented to both societies.” The following gentlemen were appointed to acton behalf of the Patea Society—Messrs Hamilton, Bright, Boss, and Wilson.
