WANGANUI AUTUMN MEETING*

FIRST DAY. The course was well patronised during the day, the beautiful weather drawing the people out. The Derby was not a very exciting race, Derrit’s riding of Fusileer telling at the end. Pathfinder came home an easy winner. Rambler won three lengths away, Kautere made a big try three quarters of a mile from home, but was too far away, and only got into third place.
