HORTICULTURAL SHOW.

The Patea Horticultural Society held its Autumn Show on Wednesday last, but owing to the terrible inclemency of the weather the attendance was much more limited than on former occasions. This is much to be regretted, as the exhibits were of a most superior description, and would, wc think, so far as quality is concerned, have held their own in any Horticultural Show in Now Zealand. Great praise is due to the committee for their untiring exertions, while the indefatigable secretary, HEP Adams, Esq., was simply übiquitous. Messrs Daniel Williamson and William Howitt held the responsible position of judges, which they filled to the entire satisfaction of all concerned, and the quality of many of the exhibits drew the highest encomiums from those gentlemen.
