VOLUNTEER INTELLIGENCE.
A shooting tournament, range 200 and 300 yards, 5 shots at each range, open to all comers, took place on the Patea Rifles’ range on Friday last for prizes subscribed by our townsmen. The wind was high from the south-east, ; which perhaps accounts for the lowness of some of the scores which were as follows :

Graham, 24 ; Vol Ooutts, 22 ; Lieiit Barraclough, 21 ; Mr Jas Graham, 19 ; Vol W Locker, 15 ; Mr Willis, 14.; Vol Baylis, 12 ; Vol Yeoman, 11; Vol Marchant, 10 ; Mr Beamish j9 ; Vol A Patterson, 2. . , .
