STACK FIRE.
Just ns wo were going to proas Mr D. H. Williamson called at our office and informed us that Messrs Newland Brothers’ stacks of wheat (three) were on fire, the threshing machine was saved, but the engine was right in the flames, and con d not be got out. The fire was caused by one of the men laying down his pipe close to a stack. We regret to hear that there was no insurance on the stacks.
