LOSS OF THE BARQUE SELIM.

(per press association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 4. Intelligence has been received by Messrs T. Moore and Co,, Christchurch, that the barque Selim chartered and loaded by them in Lyttelton with 9748 bags of wheat for Falmouth for order* has foundered on the voyage between Falmouth and Dunkirk. She arrived at Falmouth on the 23rd November, and was ordered to Dunkirk. The cargo was insured in the South British. A Reuter’s telegram since received says that so far as is known, no loss of life has occurred.
