Land Board Meeting.
(Telegram from our Correspondent.) New Plymouth, Monday
At the Land Board meeting to-day, a letter from Messrs West and Allan was read stating that the Hawera Road Board were about to expend the deferred payment road subsidy in building a bridge over the Otoki stream, which would bo no benefit to the deferred payment selectors; and hoping the Land Board would not sanction the expenditure.
The chairman said no proposal for expenditure had been made by the Board, but if it was made it would be for roads at the back. The Board would not approve of the bridge referred to.
