Establishing a Toll Crate at i'W'aitotaraIN pursuance of the power granted under “ The Public Works Act, 1876,” the County Council of Patea have resolved ,to establish a Toll on the North or Patea side ot the Waitotara Bridge. The following will be the scale of tolls payable, viz.: SECOND SCHEDULE. s. d. 1. For every sheep or other head of small cattle 0 0£ 2. For every horse saddled or harnessed ... ... ... ... 0 3. For every horse not in harness or head of great cattle ..i ... 0 3 4. For every two-wheeled vehicle with springs, drawn by one horse ... ... ... ... 1 0 For every additional horse attached to such vehicle ...0 6 6. Provided that not morc ’than one 101 l shall be taken on any vehicle or horse passing or returning on the same day: And provided further that in case of a vehicle without springs having the tires of all its wheels of a breadth of not less than five inches, the wheels being so formed that a surface of not less than five inches comes in contact with the ground on a firm cart rood, the amount of tolls shall be one-half-the rate which would otherwisj be charged under this Schedule.
