Patea Mail Office, Friday Evening. W. Cowern reports having held his usual monthly sale of stock at Kakaramea on the 13th just. 18 bead of cattle and 100 sheep were yarded. The attendance was not so good as usual. Fat wethers (light weights) realised 8s ; 5 head mixed stock, poor condition, £2 10s ; pen of 4 cows, £5 5s ; 1 well-bred heifer, £9 : mare and foal (hack), £7. Remainder of stock were withdrawn, prices not being up to expectation.
