Maori Ball Postponed. The Maori Tribal Committee advise us that the Ball they proposed to stage on October Bth in aid of the Recruits’ Presentation Fund has had to be postponed on account cf the fact that the Maori orchestra will be going north to take part in the celebrations at Ruatoria t:> honour the memory of Lieut. Ngarimu, V.C. Shop Day. On Tuesday of next week, the Women’s Section of the R.S.A. will hold a shop day in the empty shop near Smith and M<-Sherry’s offices. The proceeds will form the nucleus of a fund to provide Rest Rooms and posa club room for the use of country members when they come to town.
