COMING OF AGE PARTY
AT SIANGATAINOKA Airs 1). Johnson entertained about 150 relative* and friends at a joli.y dance, to celebrate the com ing of age of her eldest son. Fred, on S »t----i.rdav evening. With Mrs Tait at the piano. Allan Greaves the drums, and Mr K. Montgomery as M.C., a most enjovable evening was spent by everyone in the Matigatiinoka Hall. Mr Robertson, uncle of Fred, presented him with the key of the door. Air and Mrs Holyoake were present lor a short while and the former piessed hi-* good wishes. After a savoury sip per had been served and ,the birthday cake cut, Fred thanked his mother for the party and everyone for the wonderful array of gifts he had received. FAREWELL PRESENTATION Mr F. Johnson who expects to go into camp shortly was presented with i gifT from the employees of the Powe.* Board. Air K. Montgomery, in n aking the presentation, spoke of the esteem and respect everyone had for Fred and wished 1 ini the best of hick.
