The latest Cairo communique says our patrols, operating against enemy positions west of Wadi Bir el Kebir, engaged and destroyed some enemy vehicles, otherwise there 18 nothing to report. There was no air activity in the battle area yesterday. The Admiralty states that a British submarine attacked and sank a small enemy supply ship laden with petrol in the Gulf of Hammamet. Later the same submarine attacked a small tanker which was beached. Both enemy vessels were southbound. A third enemy supply ship was also attacked and sunk in the same area. A submarine attacked and probably sank a northbound laden supply ship near Naples.
