The manpower director, Mr McNutt, announced that America’s war farces, including the armed services, would total 62,500,000 in 1943, with the employment of an additional 2,500,000 workers. He added that this year 12,900.000 were engaged in agriculture, anti of these 600,000 were women. It was expected that by the end of 19*13 women agriculturists would number 1,000,000 besides 6,000,000 women in war plants.
