APPEAL TO FRENCHMEN
COLLABORATION AND UNION BROADCASTS TO RESUME. FIGHTING FRANCE WITH THE ALLIES. (Received 11.40 a.m.) (Brifsli Official Wdreiess.) Andre Philip, Fighting French National Commissioner for the Interior and Labour, announced in the B. B.C European service tonight that broadcasts would be resumed nightly by Fighting French spokesmen. The broadcasts had been interrupted by the unsatisfactory position, in North Africa but this had now been modified and it was a fact. : aid Philip, that possibilities had tM*en opened for col labor ati on and eventually, union among all the authentic elements of the French resistciai.ee. If the Allied landing i n North* Africa opens a. new page in the history of our nation, said Philip, the French Empire can today lx* reconstituted and thanks to the empire, France will be able to play a primary role in tlie Mediterranean war x the door is open for us to resume our role in the world and this partiepat'on in the Allied war effort is France’s participation.
