AMERCANS AND CRICKET
INTEREST IN THE GAME, The men of th© American forces are deeply interested in sport, and do not confine themselves to their own national ball game. They have shown a deep interest in cricket and are keen to learn to play the game A number of the men were deeply engrossed in a match the other evening and wer© putting up a veritable bairage of questions to nearby spectators, who were only too willing and ready to explain the rules of the game and the purpose of the different moves on the field. However, they were completely “stumped” when on© American asked, “Say, brother, how many of them guv s behind the sticks get killed in a season?”
