FLOOD WARNING ISSUED
MANGAHAO UP 10ft. The temperamental Mangahao river displays its capricious ness even at Christmas time. Early this morning the all too familiar flood warning went over the western party lines after receipt of a message from Shannon that the river was up ten feet. Mr A W. Hamilton reported 7; > of an inch of rain in Pahiatua during the night but unless an inch is registered before 9 a.m. the situation does not call for periodical reports for flood control.
