Salmon, S.M., in the Magistrates’ Court, today, when sentencing A lick Oarfield Hussey, henchman, to on© month’s imprisonment on two charges of assault. Defendant was charged with drunkenness on Juni 14, and with assaulting Henry Edward Card Licensee of the Station Hotel, and Lily Layma Sparks. On the charge of drunkenness Hussey was convicted and discharged, and for assaulting Mrs Sparks he was sentenced to two weeks’ imprisonment, to be concurrent with one month for assault on Card. Mr C. F. Treadwell appeared for Hussey.
