AT PAHIATUA YESTERDAY ONLY FOUR TOWN APPEALS The 7B Manpower Committee sat at Pahiatua on Friday. The personnel was Messrs T. W Jordan (chairman), F. Cole and L T. Darnell. The crown representative and secretary was Mr G F. Whitlock and the ] stenographer Miss J. E. Geminell ! Most of the appeals referred to ; farmers or the r assistants. Both were adjourned sine die. Harold Maitland Richardson, chemist, (Director of National Service*. Mr Brown the employer appeared

before the committee. He told the committee that an avei age of 300 serial security prescrixitions were dispensed daily and there was other work done in the pharmacy. Reservist assisted the medical board but bad done no training. Adjourned sme die. Vincent Bernard O’Brien, farmhand. <l> O'Brien). P. 1., had bis appeal reviewed. It cam*, up at the previous sitting and was adjourned uivtil the result of David O’Brien’s ap|>eal before the Armed Forces Appeal Board was known David who represented his brother enters, camp within 14 days.
