Til the scheduled 13-round match for the world's heavyweight title, Joe Louis knocked Hod Barman out in the fifth round. The blood-smeared challenger wilted on the floor from a hard riglithand smash to the stomach ill the fifth round and as Barman fell Louis administered the coup tie grace with a. left book to the head. Iturman received an ovation because he made one of the most determined efforts against Louis. Ho forced the fighting but Louie s were tho more damaging punches.
