WILL MAKE SUCCESSFUL RESISTANCE
IF GERMANY TRIES TO .DOMINATE EUROPE. (Received 11.18 a.in.) (Officia*. Wireless.) RUGBY, March 23. Speaking in the- House of Commons Mr Chamberlain said he could not at ]>resent say anything on the progress of the consultations with other governments but he redefined in very precise terms Britain’s attitude which he had already indicated in his Birmingham speech. “Britain lias already made it clear that the recent action c 4 Germany has raised the question whether Germany is not seeking by successive steps to dominate Europe and perhaps even go farther than that. Were this interpretation of Germany’s intentions to prove con cct the British Government would feel bound to' say this would rouse the successful resistance of Britain and other countries whi;) prized their freedom as similar attempts had done in the past.”
