THE FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Druids’ Lodge was held in the Masonic Hall on Tuesday night. Bro. D. M. Sargent, A.D., presided over a good attendance. The invitation to the Arch I Chapter, Palmerston North, in March, was tabled until later. Several small accounts were passed for payment. The remits to the Grand Lodgemeeting to be held in New Plymouth are being considered by the executive committee and will be reported on in the near future. Nominations for the position of treasurer were then called for, only one being received, that of Bro. ,R. G. T. Taylor. He was duly installed by the worthy D.P., Bro. F. Ridder, and received the congratulations of all. Reports by several officers on the recent trip to Oroua and on the ritual contest there were received. The Superintendent of the Juvenile Lodge commented on their progress and invited all members to a contest which is being held on Saturday week with the Palmerston North Juveniles. Will all officers please note that the next practice for the ritual competition will be held in the Lodge room at 7.45 p.m. next Saturday. Opportunity is being taken to present a P.A. collar and diploma to one of the past officers, and a full attendance is requested.
