GENERAL SITUATION An anti-cyclone of slight intensity is moving from the north Tasman Sea on to northern New Zealand but a fresh depression is forming over ih e south Tasman. Forecast: Moderate tc strong west to north-west winds reaching gale force at times. Weather fair to fine at first but some scattered and light rains, probable later in and west of the ranges. Temperatures cool to moderate. Seas rough.
