PA&AMERTC-AN .ASKS FOR 3,680 000 DOLLARS. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright WASHINGTON, February 14. The Pan-American Airways Company has asked for 3,860,L00 dollars in a lump sum for the contract of carrying mails across the Pacific Hitherto the company has leceived 2,000,000 dollars a year. It is said that the present transpacific service is operating at a loss of 800,000 dollars a year.
