FRED ASTAIRE AND GINGER ROGERS IN “CAREFREE.”
Alodem prototypes of .the famous historical triangle of John Alden. Priscilla and Miles Standish are amusingly characterised by Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers and Ralph Bellamy in the sparkling film musical. “Carefree,” screening at the “Cosy" on Friday and Saturday. In this RKO Radio picture Astaire i.s seen as a noted psychiatrist whose efforts to play matchmaker for Bellamy, an attorney, and Aliss Rogers, an actress who secretly loves the doctor, fornis the basis of the rollicking plot. Four tuneful numbers by Irving Berlin and several unique dances by Astaire and Aliss Rogers are interpolated in the story of “Carefree ”
