ST PETER'S GARDEN PARTY

TO BE HELD NEXT SATURDAY. Come along and spend your afternoon at the garden party in the Vicarage grounds on Saturday. It will cost you nothing for admission, but there w,ill be so many attractions that we hope to unloose your purse strings for the benefit of the Church funds. The Ladies’ Guild will have stalls for sales of fancy and plain needlework. cakes, sweets and produce, and there will also be afternoon tea at a moderate charge. We want all mothers to bring their babies under 18 months along for the Baby Show; two valuable prizes of 10s each have been donated for the winning boy and girl. Then there is the decorated bicycle section for school children. Another well-wisher lias donated three cash prizes in this section. There will be novelty races for the children and also for adults. Other novelty items are tilting the ring on bicycles, wash-pegging, ugly man competition, novel archery, chainstepping. croquet bobs, clock golf, etc. Bring your pennies along for the lucky spot copper trail, and get a prize if you strike the lucky spot. There will bo a lovely fruit cake for weight-judging and the winner will got a, goocl cake cheap for 6d. Come along, bring your children and your friends and enjoy the fun of the fair.
